Prep your car for long travel

There’s a lot of options when you head to Ace on rollers covers. Let me give you 5 quick tips to pick the right one of your project.

    1. CHECK WIPERS
Replace your wiper blades if needed and top off the windshield wiper fluid.
    2. CHECK FLUIDS
Check oil, brake, transmission, radiator coolant and power steering fluid levels. Check your owner’s manual to locate fluid reservoirs and determine which type of fluid to purchase for your vehicle.
    3. CHECK TIRE PRESSURE
When the tires are cold, use a gauge to check the pressure. Fill them according to the recommended air pressure found on the side of your tire.
    4. CHECK TIRE TREAD
Let a 1-peso coin (circa 205) be your guide. Insert the coin into the groove, with Jose Rizal's head facing upright. If your tire's tread is still in good condition, the year at the bottom (below Rizal's head) should at least partially be covered when inserted. If it falls below that, then it's time to invest in some new rubber.
    5. CHECK HEADLIGHTS, BRAKE LIGHTS AND SIGNALS
If a light isn’t working, check the fuse to see if that’s the cause. If not, replace the bulb, or light.
